IVF Doula & Care Navigation

What is an IVF Doula?

An IVF doula is a non-medical support person who helps you feel less alone, more organized, and more resourced while you move through fertility treatment.

IVF can ask you to become a patient, project manager, advocate, researcher, emotional processor, and communicator all at once. An IVF doula helps hold some of that load with you.

You might be here if

You’re just starting IUI, deep into IVF, between cycles, or considering treatment and feeling hesitant about what it could ask of you. Maybe you already know what it feels like to be treated like a number at the clinic, or to try to do everything “perfectly” — every meal, timed injection, appointment, and wait.

Even with a supportive partner, a flexible job, or people who love you, fertility treatment can still feel lonely. That is where IVF doula support can help.

This support does not replace your fertility clinic, doctor, therapist, attorney, or financial professional. Instead, it lives alongside your medical care: helping you prepare for appointments, organize questions, understand what to ask next, and stay grounded through the waiting, decisions, and emotional intensity of treatment.

Support can include

Clinic + appointment support +
  • Appointment preparation and post-appointment debriefs
  • Organizing clinic questions, portal messages, and follow-up items
  • Local in-person appointment support in Northern Colorado when appropriate
Decision + planning support +
  • Thinking through care options, second opinions, and clinic transitions
  • Planning for IVF abroad, including packing, documents, travel logistics, and clinic communication
  • Support navigating IUI, IVF, donor conception, and treatment decisions
Emotional + boundary support +
  • Emotional support during waits, betas, ultrasounds, retrievals, transfers, and decision points
  • Scripts for boundaries with family, friends, work, or your wider support system
  • Grounding tools for anxiety, overwhelm, and decision fatigue

What an IVF doula does not do

An IVF doula does not provide medical advice, interpret labs or embryo reports, recommend medication changes, diagnose, provide therapy, or guarantee outcomes. Medical decisions belong with your licensed medical team.

My approach

My support is practical, emotionally grounded, and IVF-specific. I bring lived experience as an IVF patient, training in fertility support, and a care-navigation lens from years of case-management-style work. My goal is to help you feel accompanied, organized, and steady enough to ask the next right question.
